The finish on those new cabinets looks fantastic, makes my original 101s & 050s look positively shabby by comparison.

The pre Valhalla/Cirkus LP12 slotted in perfectly. I wonder how current LP12's would fare???

Not only was the perceivable differences quite profound,
Subsituting a crossover built to the same circuit but with modern components makes a big difference, too.
Exceptional construction...many fold higher than the original ARCs I would imagine. I wonder though if those authentic-replica wooden stands would not be bettered by more conventional and rigid metal frame ones.
Regardless, ARCs were one of the few decent things coming out of Salford in those times. I have very fond memories of an active 252XD/ARC 101 system fronted by the obligatory LP12/Ittok/Asak in a tiny university dorm room circa 1979/1980. Judy Tzuke and The Wall were the main fodder though.
Try highly diluted Lord BL 100, brushed on or sprayed on.Yes, with PlastiFlex 1200 ...
Do you know good replacement for this?
New passive XOvers ....
