Hi, i have taken ownership of an Avondaled 102 (after a worrying delivery, special 24 hours turned into 9 days) Anyway i would like ideas on how best to power the amp.
Currently bit of a hash with sonic bliss on 821 input and naim hicap on other input both 24v.
Views appreciated.
Also want to biamp but, does not seem pos as it stands, 4pin out on 102 goes to 250,but when i try another amp on the hicap output there is just a buzz. Will phone les, but suspect the audio out on the 5 pin is disabled to force seperation of power and signal.
Still amazes me the brightness of the 102 compared to the 32/72s.
I have a modded 32/5 done my misterc6 and what a belter it is but comming from the cosy warm side of neutral but the best 32/72 i have ever had,i could live with this amp if it was the last i was to ever have.
i need to tame the 102 to appreciated it qualities, the extra detail is there that 102 always beats 32/72 at and the smoothness of the 821s shows well, just need more bass welly, hoping ps sort out will help this.
