Yes, my thoughts exactly. Nagra look so good because everything is form following function, even down to the physical dimensions, the boxes aren’t any bigger than they need to be. This has some styling cues that are almost certainly Nagra inspired, but the whole design looks clumsy.

Have you seen a Tom Evans Linear A or B? Great sounding amps but man are they ugly.

There are a few very expensive amplifiers out there that have loads of money spent on the looks - it makes me wonder what they've missed inside. They still can get good reviews. I wonder if the looks are influencing the perceived sound?
