analogue (audio) circuit design books..

there appear to be lots of experts here.

can anyone point me to a good book/reference on analogue circuit design, in particular covering power supplies for audio circuits -- and with good coverage of earthing issues - and the interaction between mains, power supplies and small signal behaviour - which i am struggling to understand.

no, i am not about to build a supercap competitor -- i just want to educate myself on one or two issues...

many thanks in advance...

I'm not sure such a book exists.

The standard 'entry level' electronics book is 'The Art of Electronics' by Horowitz and Hill. They cover just about everything. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0521370957/ref=sr_aps_books_1_1/026-7551542-4977258

You may find the discussion on using op-amps to make power supplies in Walt Jung's 'IC Op-Amp Cookbook' interesting. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...25490/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1_1/026-7551542-4977258 Digging up some of Walt's web published material is also well worthwhile.

John Linsley-Hood has a couple of relevant books, but I've never been convinced enough to buy them.

You may find that explorations in the chip manufacturers data sheets and application notes useful, but these will assume basic knowledge. http://www.linear.com/pdf/1083fds.pdf for example.

ALW should be along shortly with a more appropriate list.
