Saw a couple of albums a while back in HMV which caught my eye. It said on the label that they were cut at Abbey Road at half speed. I thought i would like to listen to them to hear the difference but at £29.99 i thouhht i would pass.
i was in HMV a couple of weeks later and saw they had a sale on vinyl records and the two albums had come down to £12.99 so i bought them.
Have to say i am impressed with the sound quality of these records. Anyone else tried these recordings and what were your thoughts?

Yes I have New Gold Dream and Solid Air, good but they are cut from digital, I have an original analogue copy of NGD and I still prefer it.

I have the Cream Disraeli Gears and Free Fire and Water which aren't bad but what's really impressive are the recent Queen releases that were mastered at Abbey Road using the same process.
