5 door ulez compliant hatchback for £4k

Plenty here seem to know plenty about cars, unless it's an old Volvo, I tend to be pretty clueless.

I'm looking for a 5 door ulez compliant medium sized hatchback car for £4k. Petrol, manual.

Astra? Mazda 3? Renault Megane? Focus? Peugeot 308?

Or are they all pretty much the same?

Any thoughts?

If you get a civic 1.6 diesel upto 66 plate it's free on tax extremely reliable loads of room and great on fuel upto 70 mpg

Vauxhall meriva worth looking at , old fashioned looking but very cheap sh and incredibly practical and surprisingly nice to drive .its a tight budget though .prices of sh cars have leapt up in recently years
