My 8 year old loves the Phil Spector Xmas album, I introduced her to that when she was 3 or so and it's now the seasonal fixture. I used to love it too, but nowadays I've heard it too often...

I have a sneaking regard for Dylan's loopy Christmas in the Heart LP.

I still love the Spector Christmas album. I can tolerate most other stuff apart from that f****** Slade song, that sodding Wizzard song and that pillock Cliff's song.

I obviously have no use for Christmas (atheist, veggie, no kids), but the Sufjan Stevens Christmas box set is really rather good. Far more a Sufjan Stevens out-takes album than a full tilt Christmas thing. That aside I just spin PIL’s Metal Box and Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music like everyone else.
