Err no. The HD600s sound better with the v281 over x can v2. But the Clear are better still. And so they should be, being 6 or 7 times the price.

The previous HP amp was an MF x-can v2, modified and okay with the 600s. Now the bass is much clearer, and the mids are too. I'm not so sure about the top end, but that could be my hearing. You need to listen to cans with your amp or, if buying new cans, make sure you are happy with the amp...

When I had my quietest, I spent too much time trying to hear differences in the filters. A complete waste of my time. Still convinced that just the lamp changed colour and that was it.

My 250 was serviced by naim last year. It pops on start up and power down. Think it is normal.

When I got my Violectric V281 amp, I got Focal Clears. Then last year, a mate gave me his HD 600s. Wow, plugged into the V281, what a difference! Not a difficult load, but there was a huge difference.

Got my first pair in 1999? Never really rated them so sold them in 2015 for more than i paid !

I put my Focal Clears on for a 24-hour session with some frequency sweeps, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It's difficult to know if it made a difference, as I didn't listen to them before. But they do sound good, even after three years.

Any warrenty on these ? Audeze's reputation on random driver failure was not great. No idea what it is like now though.

But it's a shame, as I wanted a couple more shelves for my media storage and some shorter legs. Bugger.

When I ordered mine at my dealer’s, their website wasn’t very well designed. It turned out you couldn’t order above certain widths, even though the website allowed it. My dealer negotiated with them and they took my order (about £3k). But as mentioned, extras were disproportionately expensive.
