Naim Uniti - Screen replacement and Streaming Board upgrade

Had exactly the same thing. Have found a seller on Ebay France that has them for 99 euros, including instructions on how to fit them, apparently easy. If you would like, I am going to order one and will keep you updated.

Have Quad ESLs had their day?

Has a pair of 57's years ago, absolutely loved them. Only thing against them is the servicing and the space that they take up. Also, i was single then and the space didn't matter. Now have Apogee Centaurs, as they are more living room/ wife friendly!

    Amp Advice

I would go for a Quad 34/405-2. Get them both serviced, superb gear and will last forever if serviced.

    Linn LP12 vs Digital

Why not use both? I had an LP12 years ago and changed to a PS Audio Dac/Transport, as it sounded better to my ears. Each to their own, if you like the analogue sound of the Linn, then keep it.

    sending speakers by courier

In a previous life I did extensive work across all UK couriers, UPS do expect more stringent packaging requirements such as double boxing and package bracing (in the case of rare claims), but I can guarantee you, in the long run, more packages will be delivered on time, and intact, from UPS...

    sending speakers by courier

Sadly Minio, you get what you pay for. If any carrier is offered at significantly below £10 for a parcel up to 10kg, i would seriously ask yourself what you will get for that. If you consider that a driver has to collect it, it then goes to the depot, is then sorted and put onto a trailer. It...

    Sending speakers via courier

Great advice from Mignun, you can never over pack them. For largish speakers, i would always suggest a pallet and then shrink wrapped. Also bear in mind that pallets are stacked, so again, make sure that there is plenty of protection. https://www.overlandexpress.co.uk/hifi-equipment

Couriers and Delivery Services for Hifi in the UK

Richgilb mentioned problems with UPS,We use UPS, DHL, DPD and others and would recommend DHL over UPS every time. It is not because UPS are any worse than DHL, but in the event of a damage claim, they will try everything to get out of paying. We recently sent a keyboard for a client with UPS...

There are a lot of people in favour of UPS on here, can i just say one thing. We use UPS, DHL, DPD and others and would recommend DHL over UPS every time.
