Onkyo A9070 and A9000R. Under most peoples radar and a hidden gem. MC input is a very sensitive 0.18 for an integrated that piqued my interest initially. I use low output Denon 103GL and it is exceptionally silent, transparent with huge dynamic range.

One of the earlier posts mentioned tht the ATV 2 plays nice smooth judder free 720p. Could anyone comment on the mark 1 atv compared to say a early mac mini, which is not entirely judder free when connected using it's dvi.

If you like the PL-71, then you could ramp things up a few notches and get a PL-50L2 or 70L2. I love my 70 and the Denon 103R has never been happier than in this 12" arm. The japs tried to keep these for themselves back in the early 80's so they're like hens teeth in europe, but come up...

The 18g AT headshell on the 12" arm will be overkill for the 103 IMO. The stock shell is fine. I use an ADC shell for my 103r that has a 3g stabiliser fixed to it, which brings it back up to around 10g in total.

If you want peace of mind that you have nailed the geometry, overhand etc then consider the Best Tractor. It's a bit pricey, but a worthwhile investment and comes with some useful tools that can be used elsewhere for stylus examination etc. I use one for my 10" Jelco.
