When I took the Q to Kiev, I didn't have the red dot covered up to start with, then some people starting pointing and asking if it was a Leica, so I said it was a fake :) then covered it next day with tape, no one battied an eye lid then. Sometimes do it in London, but quite often with the red...

Cover the Red Dot up with black tape, then blends in and not so obvious what it is ! Speaking from experience with my Q in Italy, without the Dot it got less attention.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all the series of this with my OH. Often, the judges are not afraid to hold back with their critic ! Gave me ideas of some places to visit and also got me interested in Leica (although not the SL they use). After some time, ended up with a Q as a fixed lens to my XT2 :)
