Yawn..........it is not simply a stylus replacement, as all rega cartridges have a fixed stylus (in case you were unaware), the cost is for a full cartridge service and rebuild from ground up, hence the disparity in price........nowt to do with "what the market will bear"......FFS

Have you actually heard one, also which brands do you consider "superior" at any price point ? Are you just here to try and wind people up or do you have anything constructive to offer somehow I doubt it.

That is an absolutely perfect encapsulation of audiophile paranoia. At the end, and at the beginning, it is all about the music, simples.....not necessarily the replay format and certainly not necessarily multi thousand pound (dollar/ Euro / etc) investment. Over countless years I have worked...

Gents, Rega were involved in the Ace Hotels RP1 and the graphics were as per their requirements. It was meant to be rolled out across their hotels (started in London) but I think the "project" stalled after maybe Portland USA.

daytona600, I don't live in London and Audio Technica cartridges are built in Japan not China, so geography, along with mathematics, are not you specialist subjects.

Ermmm, your maths is still hopelessly out even if it were a AT3600L $5 = £3.84, they are still £7.30 so you are only around 100% inaccurate, and that is presupposing it is for the whole cartridge as opposed to the stylus only as heavily suggested in their listing.

daytona600, I no longer work for Rega having retired at the end of last month but would suggest that you do rather more research on your hopelessly inaccurate postings, for example are you certain the Rega Carbon is an AT 3600L ? where do you get that ridiculous price from ? : For...
