As far as I can see the audio interface is only used for set up and you can use third party usb mics.
When I get some free time I will see if I can download a trial of the software and compare it with REW.

Just come across the IKM Arc Studio, which appears to be laptop based Dsp that get stored in a simple xlr in/out box. Specs read good for £300.

Just buy a connector and use any wire that comes to hand. Absolutely no benefit to be had from anything special here. You can usually save several feet of cable by connecting to the speaker terminals rather than the amp too.
With a bnc the centre core connects directly to the reciever. With RCA the centre core is soldiered or crimped to another piece of metal. This corrupts the impedance. Some Canare plugs claim to be close to 75ohm as it is crimped close to the receiver end.

I use balanced subs on each of the speaker outputs and they need an earth route - from the low level input - the earthing point on the amp makes it an easy connection. Ground on xlr isn't always referenced to earth. So not essential by any means -
but nice to have.
