About these speakers
I bought these speakers from a dealer in Leicester In the beginning of July.
When I unpacked and set them up on their stands I was struck by how beautiful a speaker they were, however it was also obvious that they didn’t fit in my room, they were just too large physically...
Another thing you could try is to add a capacitor in series with the speakers and depending on the value of cap it makes the speaker roll off at a higher frequency so reducing bass output. Or you could put the cap between pre and power amp. I'm sure I've seen a video or read about it somewhere...
Them's me bezzie slippers :p
Thanks for the responses folks, I've ordered some of those fish filters to try Mike, - good idea!
I'm decorating the music room at the moment so they're still in their boxes. Somehow though I've still got to try and fit them in so they don't look to dominating...
Hello All,
These lovely speakers are no longer for sale.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford to offer them for anything less than 900.
Thank you all for your interest.
Regards Roy.
PS Not sure if I need to do anything to remove this, - please could some one advise?
These are my beautiful red mahogany Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary Speakers with matching stands. After setting them up in my listening room it soon became apparant they were just too large for the room.
I was so excited to get these, very detailed female vocals, treble sounding just right...
I too liked Simon Hamnett's 'Isobariks / Naim / Avondale' room for the sheer power and scale. Les's turntable was playing at the time and sounding very fine. Did anybody there see what cartridge he was using per chance?
That's great, - Thank you guys.
So one channel has drifted a bit.
The reason I checked was because I moved house early this year and only now getting around to fixing up my system again.
Best wishes to all for Christmas and the New Year
Meirkat.
Hi all,
Ive been looking around the forum for an NCC200 schematic but cant seem to find one any more.
Can some one please let me know what the bias settings should be for the NCC200 boards.
Having just checked mine they are 39mA and 46mA. What should they be?
Regards
Meirkat.
Hi bugbear,
Id just like to say that I joined the last group buy/build with 'shoom' and built the NCC200 voyager clone and i'm still delighted with it, - its a fantastic power amp.
Kind regards
Roy.
