Thanks for all the advice. Was always going to try them out - but I am now pretty convinced I'll keep them anyway for the next place if they don't work out in the room. Seeing people praising their value makes me pretty convinced that I should keep them, and possibly save eventual upgrade money...

Thanks Fuici, some good suggestions for me to explore. It’s the lack of space to pull them away from the wall - the shape of the room is very awkward. I know how fussy they are - the double rear port is a killer. I will try them, but it’s good to keep an eye out for alternatives in the meantime.
