Orbital last night at Southampton Guildhall, playing their first two albums. Really good gig, sound was great (unlike the last time we saw them in Brighton), crowd were definitely up for it. Lovely to see lots of silver raver parents bringing their kids along, and everyone loving it.

Thanks, we had a cracking night last night with all the silver ravers (and quite a few of their kids) - very glad we took today off.

A big recommendation from me for his book with Kavus Torabi, Medical Grade Music, which should appeal to record nerds of pretty much all stripes.

Pleasant surprise on the Moon Safari reissue

Orbital 1st album CD boxset, currently on a live set from Synergy; and we've both been wondering if it was one we were at.

Ha! We've only just realised that our anniversary celebration this Thursday will be going to see Orbital - we're such romantics. ...and the following weekend, which will be twenty nine years since we met, we'll be going out raving at ALFOS in Brixton...

I was toying with seeing him, then saw it was at Brixton Academy - so that's a no from me.

I'm intrigued by the reworks on that - had a chance to listen to them yet?

For those not fussed about physical product, the entire boxset, plus the Mutations EP is up on their Bandcamp for 20 euros - bit of a bargain.

The 4CD boxset arrived yesterday, and it's a really nice thing - nice hardback book with clippings, reviews, and comments about the individual tracks; plus a few recreated flyers. I've not played it back to back with the original yet, but it's sounding good nonetheless. Rather looking forward to...

My hope is that it will become legal to grow your own, for personal use; so you know what you're growing, and what, if any chemicals have been sprayed on it.
