    Headphone amps?

I have the Creek headphone amp - cheap as dirt on ebay. I also have sennheiser HD600s sounds good over all if a bit forward. just a bit more high end than my speakers. not sharp or annoying at all.

Knowing what an Amplifier's current is?

one good way to see if an amp has high current, if it is not in the specs, is to see if the amp power is rated into 8 ohms/4ohms/2ohms. A higher current amp will put out X watts into 8 ohms, and double that into 4 ohms.

    Active Crossovers, anyone dabbled?

well i have owned 2. that is dabbling, right? I use the second one every day. I did not build it.

    TV sound problem

I had too many problems trying to run my TV sound through the HiFi, mostly because of the delay between the audio and video signals, I could not get them to sych up. So i gave up and bought a cheap soundbar. Sounds better than the TV's built in speakers, but no hifi headaches.

Speaker coupling - it's an actual thing

It makes sense to me. It's about phase relationships. If you have all the drivers/transducers exactly the same distance from the listening position, the initial direct wave front will arrive at that position at the exact same time. If one speaker is an inch further away, the wave form...

    New ATCs!

I love ATCs! However I must mention that your turntable is WAY TOO CLOSE to the right hand speaker. I hope you don't have problems with LF feedback.

Streamer (or more) with RJ45 socket: budget and/or mid-price recommendations?

you need a wiim mini, or if you need an amp as well, the wiim amp. for some more money, better software, easy setup, the bluesound node, or power node. both have rj-45 input, analog output.

How important is music to you?

i find it hilarious that we are all the same on this one. cheers mates, yes, music is very important to me. why do you think i put up with all this hifi nonsense and expense?

    Improvised speaker stand ideas needed

When I was a new Linn salesman, I destroyed a brand new credit card to buy my LP-12, LK-1 and LK-2 at salesmen prices. Having no money left and believing fervently in the Source First mantra, I ran Boston Acoustics A40 speakers, $149 a pair. They sat on what we in the US call cinder blocks...

Different aktiv Linn amps for each channel?

yeah, it helps to draw oneself a diagram, at least I find it so. and label everything correctly.

Rega RP8 or update 30 yr old LP12

well, yes i have replaced the cartridge, that doesn't count as fiddling, though, does it?

Different aktiv Linn amps for each channel?

you will be fine, they all have the same gain structure, so the levels will match across all the channels. i heartily recommend at least trying it. I know my Briks sound entirely different (and better) run actively.

Rega RP8 or update 30 yr old LP12

I's sorry but I just don't understand two things: 1) my LP-12 makes all my records sound good, even the horrible 1982 hardcore records recorded on quarter inch 8 track and mastered only by the pressing plant (united in nashville). Seriously, from DYS to Christian Death to the Sound...

    Tonearm choice

don't bother, what you have now is probably better than anything else you can get at the price.
