    Love for Cyrus?

I love Cyrus hifi. Had a Cyrus system for 25 years. The new stuff however is too expensive for me.

    CD in 2024

I use vinyl and I recently bought a Wiim to use through my Cyrus Pre2 Dac QXR. I use Amazon hd. However I prefer cd through my Cyrus cdi. I don't know why but it just sounds better to me. Weird I know.

    headphone suggestions

I was just commenting on the general absurdity of headphones extension leads in general. However thanks for educating me on the difference between my Stax and the Focals. I had absolutely no idea. Much appreciated.

    headphone suggestions

I recently had to shell out ( due to house move and furniture realignment) 95 quid for an extension lead for my Stax headphones. There is no cheap fix.

Funnily enough worse reliability I've had from a cd was a Marantz cd63 ki signature which broke after 18 months. A Sony 911E which I had for 5 years and sold on to a mate was still spinning well after 15...

what was the last piece of hifi you bought

An extension cable for my Stax Headphones. A Wiim Pro. A pre loved Audioquest coaxial cable from a mate to hook the Wiim up to my Cyrus Pre 2 dac qx. Amazon Unlimited.

    Cyrus Stack Or McIntosh

Can't comment on the Mcintosh, however I like my niche Cyrus equipment. It's not everyone's cup of tea but if you enjoy the sound I'm sure it will last past Christmas for you.

    Norfolk Audio shops

I am about 35 mins from KL. For many of us up here Norwich is too far for a " quick" shopping trip so KL it is. It's like any old port town that has had its share of 1970s architecture bolted on to the outer parts of the town. The centre has the usual gradually declining retail experience...

    Norfolk Audio shops

I retired to North Norfolk last year. It's lovely. However second homes have and are continuing to cause problems for the locals. Wells is effectively a weekend gated community for Londoners. Burnham Market is Chelsea on Sea. Luckily there are still places devoid of the x-5 crowd.
