    Linn LP12

To be fair to the seller, he mentions the items belonged to his recently deceased brother. Therefore probably not sure what he is actually selling. Can't be an easy task.

    BC1s in the house (flat)

I think it depends on year of manufacture. I have a pair, ser. nos. In the high 27000, and the grills were purely held on with 10 velcro strips. They were very tight to remove though. I have replaced the grill cloths on mine for black, and they do look much nicer. I have also seen studs and...

Linn Isobarik tweeter replacement...with some pics

To save drilling a hole in the tweeter, (eg. If you need to re use, or sell a working one), you can also screw an easy out into the fixing hole, and pull with a pair of molegrips. Done loads like this.

Sorry. Just realised you meant year of manufacture. I was thinking ser. nos. Yes, the above posts are spot on.

    Quad II power amps

My thoughts are that back in those days, the warehouse man that picked up the boxes for a purchase, just grabbed the nearest 2. He probably wasn't interested in matching consecutive ser. nos. They are so close, there is nothing to worry about. Someone else probably has 1958 and 1961 etc.

Yes AWP will probably still be relevant today. Superb.

    The return of Fawlty Towers

My favourite is 'Still Game'. No matter how many times I watch it I am creasing myself. In fact it's on in 40 minutes.

What to do with a K18?

Yes it will restrict rotational movement if the cable is tight. And as I say it will also skew the vertical movement. If it has no effect on vertical movement then the theory doesn't work. IMO.

What to do with a K18?

So you are trying to restrict miniscule lateral movement by creating larger lateral movement under working conditions. Basically shorting out the suspension. In which case you would be as well with no suspension at all.

What to do with a K18?

If the cable is tight, any vertical movement will cause it to move in an arc.
