    X100 vs X100s

I also have two 8GB Extreme Pro (the 95mb/s ones) used with an x100s and then seem to be ideal, other cards have been too slow yet worked fine on my DSLR.

Theme 134 Distorted - ends midnight 12th August

I just liked the weird distorted pattern, slightly mad scientist. Fuji X100s f2 1/60 ISO 200 With a bit of playing in Nik plugins

Buffalo II - Assembly for the Electronically Bewildered part III

I'm having a problem with a Buffallo II connected to a Arduino UNO using the HiFi Arduino code (b11d). Dac works fine but I cannot get the screen/control to work. Buffalo-III I2C port to Arduino Uno, no level convertor. Gnd > Gnd SDA > A4 SCL > A5 I've removed the chip from the...

How to convert Hi Res FLAC to Hi Res ALAC

I also use XLD and have done for some time. It can convert in batch mode as well and also add the conversions to iTunes. Not sure it this is what you meant, but the setting is in XLD/Preferences/General/Add encoded files to iTunes if possible. You may of course have to delete the old FLAC...

    Best Universal Remote Control

Can't argue with that ;-) They are much cheaper ones available, but dongle based. Actually, having got the Unity I now have an L5 Remote dongle for sale, about 6 months old. PM if interested. (Sorry if this is not the place and I have no intention of hijacking thread - the response just...

    Headphone Suggestion for frequent traveler

I like the B&W P5 Headphones for general use and for travel. They may not be the very best headphone in the world but they are very good all rounders, especially for travel. Why? 1. Firstly the sound quality is very good. 2. They are very comfortable, I often use them with my computer and forget...

    A new DAC is required

You might also want to consider a TP Volumite (Simple I2C/SPI Volume Control), and maybe the Trident Shunt Regulators? Also maybe look out for the Legato 3 coming to a TP site for a mere few seconds a month soon ;)

I'm afraid to say Arcadian Days did not win the vote, but congratulations to the winners. Anyway I am very proud of their efforts and extremely grateful to all of you for your kindness in helping. Thank you, maybe next time... Owen's Dad

    Please Vote for Arcadian Days

Not sure where this post should go, so hopefully this is the right place? Apologies if not. My son's band - Arcadian Days, are trying to get a slot to perform at the Y-Not Festival in Derbyshire (UK) this summer. The Y-Not organisers are running a vote on Facebook. If you have a Facebook...

    Buffalo II DAC

I've only used it with computers, USB, Toslink and Coax S/PDIF. They all seem fine. They are plenty of comments in other places about the quality of the S/PDIF signal coming in with poorer signals producing noise or clicks or other problems on the input. The previous Buffallo32s had a dip to...

    Buffalo II DAC

I'm afraid I have to agree with PigletsDad, don't go messing with clocks and the like. S/PDIF direct (providing it is TTL,) seems about the best. I'm currently using optical and it sounds very good indeed. Quite often in these forums people are talking about replacing one bit of this or a bit...
