If you do go down the Deco Audio DAC route, please report your findings, as you seem to be following exactly the same route as I am, including using Roon with a Mac Mini as well.

Ever the optimist, even I have lost all hope regarding the MDAC, so need to start looking again for a current Dac. Not looking to spend £700 plus if I can find a Dac from 2022 that improves on the original technology found in the MDAC. Has anyone else found a solution? Would a £300 Dac now beat...

Yes, I also strongly feel that trying to please everybody will delay the process again. I'm sure the vast majority of us would be fine with the usual array of inputs that you would find on a similar size DAC.

This is also my holy grail search as well. Feel that my hifi set-up would be complete if I achieved this.

Will the new mdac2 be Roon ready? Might be able to live without MQA, but not having Roon would be a great shame.

Hi John, I was just wondering when you are going to get confirmation that the streamer will be MQA certified? There’s still quite a bit of music being added to Tidal and I know that Universal will continue to add content to the library in the future. Thanks.

Again, shame about the CD requirement. I've loved the sound of my Q Acoustics BT3 Wireless Active Bookshelf Speakers in my kitchen. Stream from an iPad via Bluetooth - I've been amazed at the sound. Only £199 at the moment as well.

Couldn't agree more. I'm only interested in what effect sound has on my music listening experience, and I feel that MQA has taken this experience to a higher, more enjoyable level. I'm not bothered at all by "the man" controlling the source, how the technology works or if I'm being hoodwinked...

With much discussion on the merits of XLR connections, I can't be the only one who doesn't have this on their amp. Would there be any point of buying a xlr to phono lead, or does that take away the true advantage of XLR connections?
