Roe V Wade overturned?

How does one know where Labour lie given they have no views or policies and avoid all questions? They can mainly be found abstaining on human rights and issues of creeping authoritarianism. They are a useless spineless career party.

Gav, I get the uninspiring and I know full well where the Democrats are on the spectrum, but compared to a bunch of lunatic republicans hell bent of destroying any remaining democracy, it really isn't Hobson's choice. Not a great option I agree, but still a no brainer of a decision.
It’s the shit sandwich paradox.

Would you like the chicken or the shit?

- I’d like the cheese.

I’m afraid we don’t have cheese today.

- But I don’t like chicken. I want cheese.

I can only offer chicken or shit. That’s all we have.

- Well I really don’t like chicken. I’ll have the shit sandwich then.

I will eat shit just to show you how much I dislike chicken? Hmm.

They've turned themselves into a campaign group. Great scheme, you never take power and you are never found to have made the wrong decision.

That is just the scourge of modern politics across the board, it isn't confined to Labour. Never admit you were wrong, never answer a straight question and never offer a personal opinion so as not to alienate one set of voters or the other. Utter bollocks, all of it.

I've heard plenty of stupid things said about Labour over the years but you might just have set a new bar.

Oklahoma:

  • Abortion would face up to <10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine;
  • First-degree rape would face up to >5 years in prison.

WTF

Who wants to.live in Oklahoma anyway...

Seriously though, what a bunch of w*nk#rs. That's the problem when old rich white males make all the rules.

Well, I'd like nothing more than to see them take power but first they have to come up with a set of policies that people like the sound of and get voted in. So far, they score nul points. So prove me wrong, and get them elected. Please. Until then the comment stands. If they don't get elected, they're a campaign group.

This is like saying if West Ham don't win the Premiership they are not a football team and are just having a training session.

It's even more absurd in the context of Labour party where the story of the last *30 years* is about how the left wing of the party were accused of being too focused on matters of principle that were (arguably) never going to get them elected and so were replaced by a group who were (arguably) too focused on winning elections and had abandoned the party's principles. And that essentially this gnomic approach to campaigning is literally the way the only Labour governments of my adult life actually got elected.

How many women harping on about “my body my choice” took to the streets to protest against vaccine passports? Were they out with their placards over no jab no job? Nope! But it’s the same thing!” (Isabel Oakeshott, Twitter).

Absolutely all of the wrongness at once right there in a single tweet.

And your argument is like saying that it doesn't matter what result West Ham get, or what league they play in, as long as they play football in the principles of the game.
I'm well aware of the history of the Labour party post 1979 too.

I haven't made an argument and only expressed some confusion at your point which seems nonsensical to me.

The point is Oklahoma with a population of 4 million gets the same number of Senators as California with 40 million.

In which case let's those of us who call ourselves socialists stick to our principles, regardless of how relevant they are to the modern world, or heaven forbid the electorate, and we can enjoy another 3 terms of Conservative government. Maybe more, if like Jeremy Corbyn we can concentrate on "winning the argument" rather than elections. Who needs MPs after all? Not me, let's have another few years of Boris. After all, it's going so well, why change a winning team?
