WTB:Naim plastic XLR plug

Naim thought the all plastic bodies sounded better and had them specially made so you can't buy them!
They seem pretty poor quality to me and the cable is thin 3 core mains.
The metal bodied one seems to sound as good and you can use some "nicer wire" if you feel inclined.

I agree that the metal body can make things worse (Eichmann, WBT and a few others think likewise)

You can't get the actual Naim plug as far as I know but there are two equally good alternatives.

1) just don't put the metal body on and pot the pins part of the xlr into the strain relief. Thus will work perfectly well but you don't get a proper plug body.

2) Cliff make a plastic XLR connector which is what Naim used prior to the bespoke item. It's bulkier but sounds the same and is found on earlier 135 and 250 leads with grey mains cable.
