Lambchop - Nixon
Brad Mehldau - Highway Rider (instrumental)
Mark Hollis - (Talk Talk) self titled
Wilco - a ghost is born
Sufjan Stevens - Illinoise
Joni Mitchell - Travelogue
Scott Walker's solo albums esp. the later ones might be good options
Probably the Mark Hollis album is closest to Secrets of the Beehive - I'd take a listen to that first & see if it works for you.
