PigletsDad

My intelligence test came back negative.
MC5 - Kick Out the Jams.

One of the best live records of the 1960s. Brilliant start, but gets a little ragged as it goes on. The opening sequence of Rambling Rose, Kick Out the Jams, Come Together is just wonderful.

They are amazingly tight and energetic; if determined to nitpick maybe the singing isn't as good as the playing.

McCoy Tyner / Expansions. Couldn't afford the ironically titled 'Music Matters' pressing but I picked up a 1980s DMM copy recently. Sounds pretty good too!

I am listening to ancestors by david Rohl, Ark by Brendan and The new Steve Hackett album. All absolutely brilliant.

"Get Well Soon" by Sarahbeth Tucek - the only one of the suggested recordings on Quietus that was available as a physical CD.

Good on first listen; rather downbeat and sad, as you might expect for a set of songs inspired by the death of her father.

Simple Minds - Themes Volume 1 (Spotify). Extended singles and stuff from when they were good. (there are 5 volumes in total. Won't be going past 1)
