That's exactly it - a knot!
There does seem to be an art to getting the knot correctly positioned.
I think I'd trim the loose ends a bit on the one for sale.
Unfortunately it seems the vendor is a PFM reader and has upped the price since I pointed it out - so no longer within budget. Pretty bad form that!
