Sony VFET amp TAN-5550 - anyone got advice?

Bought myself a Sony VFET power amp, a teenage dream came true...
Prev. owner says the large elcos are replaced, what else do I need to replace except the infamous diodes?
Made a search on the net, but not much info. Anyone have personal experience of restoring the amp?
Thankful for any information, including comments om sound etc.

The power devices are literally irreplaceable, none have been made for decades.

As PD says, its as rare as hens teeth mixed in rocking horse poo. I don't know of anyone that has listened to one. There are Japanese websites that cater for VFET and JFET amplifiers from the 70s, Google translate will be your friend, let us know what you find.
