sck054 Cap how do you test polarity

Hi, I have a green coloured capacitor cap which has blown on my TV power supply board. I obviously need a new one but I was wondering when you refit the new cap how do you know which way round to soldier the appropriate wire lug? Does any one have this type of capacitor that they could sell me the only info on the capacitor is SCK 054 does this make sense to you as I don't have a schematic diagram to tell me what type it is! Many Thanks Chris

Any idea where the problem could be as this SCK is the only cap showing signs of blowing. If I fit a new fuse it does blow straight away. The only other slight sign which could illustrate a problem is some slight browning to a pasted area on the board that houses two capacitors but the caps them selves don't show signs of having blown!.
Many Thanks for responding back to my thread so quickly chris

No problem at all.

I have no idea, what tv is it? Any model/part numbers on the power supply board? A quick hunt on google/badcaps.net may well turn up the answers you need.

Good luck!
