Richer Sounds founder bankrolls push to end zero-hours contracts

I buy any hifi from Richer that I can, and have stopped buying JCBs.

I get tanked up at Wetherspoon and drive my JCB through town.

No guarantee of a full weeks work, sick pay or holiday pay. Awful. Ban self-employment, it's a disgrace.

As for zero hours, friends of a family member are happy with it. Doesn't suit all and trouble if the employer is a piece of work - that is who they are whatever the contract.

And replace zero hours with what, I would think is the question.
It may be a great contract with a decent pension & generous T’s & C’s.
Then again, some of the more aggressive employers may find another way to get cheap labour at very minimal cost.
I can see that for some people zero hours contracts can be liberating, but a lot of the time it gives employers Carte Blanche to maximise profit over employee well-being.

I've bought a few bits and bobs from them over the years (headphones and Chord Mojo most recently) and my son bought some active speakers. Service has been great.

Been thinking of maybe looking at floor standers again. Anyone heard the Elac Vela FS407s or the Dali Rubicon 6 which they stock?

He is a very nice guy. Good moral compass and has time for people. He also works bloody hard and a lot of his staff have been there for years.
