I am after a replacement on off switch for a Naim 135..
Have looked on line, RS on line have a similar one but the connections look slightly different..pins different..
Maybe newer switches have altered..
Any thoughts..

what vintage?

Old ones have a modular EAO switch which you need to buy as a kit of parts and is ridiculously expensive, newer ones have a different design which is fairly easily replaceable.

Sorry to jump the thread but does any one know where to get a bulb for this switch (in my CB NAP 250) that's not so bright? It might match my newer equipment LEDs better!:)

I cannot for the life of me remember where now, but a few years ago I Googled replacement lamps for these switches, found a manufacturer and had some samples sent FOC! The ones I use now are LED based.

Edit: Found it. The company is Marl but I can't see a link to get samples. And the bulbs are "T6.8 Slide Base" type. But there will be other manufacturers out there who will send you samples.

Or maybe a couple of layers of this inside the plastic lamp cover?

Thanks for the info. Could be these might work if the voltage is correct? http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5...0001&campid=5338728743&icep_item=271418032463
They should do. Some sage will be by shortly to confirm the voltage.

However that eBay item is very expensive. Check out RS. I believe they have re-introduced free shipping. But do search for manufacturers who may send you free samples ... ;)

Get the correct ones from TomTom Audio.
Cheaper than the ones you linked to on Ebay.

Waste of money IME. They are filament and blow with boring regularity. I've been through handfuls of these .. when Naim used to pop them in a bag and send them FOC. But I've not had one failure on the LED versions I now use.

Agree about the filament lamps, but I'm sure they may have wrong picture.
They always supplied multichip led (white) in the past for that price.

Thats a rip off price. Here are the correct bulbs (I still have some) at a fraction of that price http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/filam...5522677633D4E4F4E45267573743D3536342D34383126

You have to buy a pack of five but that is still cheaper than the price for one from your link. Also there is an insertion/removal tool in the pack.

Not CB 135 related but I've just changed two Uniti power switches in the last 2 weeks because the existing ones give up the ghost after a couple of years it seems.

I've still not found a modern equivalent for the 135/250 switch that doesn't cost a small fortune.

Always best to switch on/off directly from mains wall power socket .

Hi Dennis,
