Post-Trump: III (decline, further tantrums, legal proceedings, book deals etc)

I bet Exodus 20 has had a bit of a re-write...

1. You can't possibly have any other presidents except Me... raid the temple, Jan 6th!
2. Kompromat is false Noos^ /
graven images.
3. Don't take the gag order from Your Judge in vai^^
seriously.
4. Remember Wednesday is Campaig^^^
Golf day, hold it sacred.
5 Honour thy wife, by ..dumping her body on a golf course somewhere.

...

(..I could go on - but the man, his family & the very phenomenon - is utterly-nauseating.)

Honour thy pregnant wife while shagging a porn star...

$9k Fine what do you do send out begging emails

“I was fined $9,000 for 9 gag order violations. THEY WANT TO SILENCE ME! They think they can BLEED ME DRY and SHUT ME UP, but I’ll NEVER stop fighting for YOU.” The email included a link to donate.

I'm delighted to note that Duck Fart is looking genuinely tired and drawn. Long may it continue.
There's no hope for his hard-core morons, but here's hoping the 'floaters' who decided to give him his one chance will finally see through him.
Frankly, I'm still mystified why any remotely intelligent person would not dismiss him the first time they heard his inane drivel and negative sincerity quotient. A more irredeemably nauseating specimen is hard to imagine.

Indeed. If the President is in some way supposed to embody the spirit of a nation, then surely most Americans don't want their country to be associated with a creature like him.

If the president does embody the spirit of the nation then Trump suggests it is haunted by malevolent ghosts from the past that need a thorough exorcising.

Civil war Mk 2, perhaps...

My thoughts precisely.

I sense them tories are trying to incite a CW here in the l'il o'l UK.

I protest against any suggestion that anything good would come from a large scale civil conflict here, or anywhere. The idea is naive and dangerous.

I'm a fan of historian Heather Cox Richardson's Letter from an American. The latest makes interesting reading:

As Trump says, he was "too nice" in his first term, and he won't make the same mistake again. I see no reason to disbelieve him.

At the same time, I read this in the NYT:

Everything I've read recently reinforces my belief that the Democrats have comprehensively blown it, and that, by choosing to run with Biden and Harris, they have handed the election, the country and perhaps even the fate of the world and the cause of democracy in general into the hands of a dangerous half-wit, who will put his acolytes in positions of power from which they can never be removed. Dear US contributors, please tell me I'm wrong!

I do hope the "Meme" industry pick up on the above pic of drumpf and mass produce posters ect.

Display the above picture with the word "Blowhard" printed on it and post them widely across the U S of A. :D
Given the civil trial result a while back, could they legally use the word rapist, or at least sexual abuser, instead?

Not sure the Dems have comprehensively blown it. Polling this far out doesn't mean much. And I'm not sure how the current spat between the NYT and the WH is playing out in the NYT.

Oh dear, you really are in danger of blowing an aneurysm. So it’s Biden and Harris’s fault? What’s the problem, economy doing too well? Reproductive rights not popular? I suggest looking at actual results and watching as Trump’s problems deepen. He has always had a solid noisy base, that is not growing. The noise will grow though, almost in direct proportion to the trouble he is in. The Dems have the capacity to upset some parts of what is otherwise a far broader coalition of views. But this must be offset against a raft of Republicans who will not vote for Trump.

Far too early for hysteria around Biden, or playing into MAGA narratives about him being the one who is senile. One of these guys is a decent person you may have some policy issues with, the other is a criminal lunatic who is increasingly desperate. Expect that to be rammed home increasingly as Trump’s circus comes under increasing scrutiny.

I’d stop reading about it if I were you. you are in danger of falling into a doom loop! Not healthy.

I'm not sure that's entirely true Sue. We have a history of electing clowns in the North of Ireland here based on fiercely tribal lines.

The justification provided if you ever ask is usually along the lines of "Well sure we all know he's a Cnut..but at least he's our Cnut, not one of theirs".

I kid you not :)

I'm a NYT digital subscriber and I see no mention of it.

Trumpy has been granted leave to attend son Barron’s graduation - hilarious.

He has never attended any of his offspring’s graduations. So the performative whining, during which he welled up and took out a tiny violin, at the prospect of not being able to attend - has now got him lumbered with having to go. Arf. I like the MTN take that Barron may now appeal the judge’s decision. :)

Hopefully I'm not blowing anything! No, I didn't say it was Biden and Harris's fault, I'm just saying that they might be the wrong candidates. There's no doubt that the economy is doing well, but that apparently isn't coming through to the average American. They compare prices during Trump's time and those at present and see they're worse off. Now the economy generally has nothing to do with who's in the White House, it has a life of its own, but bad (or at least not-so-good) times tend to be blamed on whoever's in power.

There's no doubt that Trump (people tend to forget that the age difference between him and Biden is not that great) is mentally less able than Biden and might indeed be showing the first signs of dementia, but the energy and general malevolence of Trump makes a big impression on people. Then there's the fact that people have lost faith in the system and someone who can demolish it and erect something better (or so he says) has considerable appeal. Biden, on the other hand, is seen as a defender of the status quo.

I hope that the USA comes to its senses (it does seem to have these recurring bouts of craziness), but I hope that Europe is getting ready for the alternative.

Still can’t see it, he hasn’t got the numbers when it comes to real votes. The polling is sending people a bit crazy, that’s what it’s trying to do clicks, clicks, clicks. The noise level should not be confused with real votes when push comes to shove.
