New Avondale Audio Website

Good evening All,

This is a quick post to introduce the new Avondale site - http://avondaleaudio.com/

Myself and Les have been working hard this year to bring the audio community some fresh and exciting products. As you will see on the website, for now, we are offering servicing and modules though the range is set to broaden significantly in the very near future. We feel with our new range, through relentless auditioning and tweaking in all areas of the products, we have truly raised the bar in our product quality and performance.

We have some new products on there for you all to view, most pages also have a .pdf brochure if you want to know more about the product range. There are still a few parts of the website I need to complete, though we feel it is ready now for you all to have a look round.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

kind regards

Ben

Nice job, way better that it was.

Interesting new products, think I'd keep the photos still so you can get a good look.

Best wishes to you and Les.

Regards,

Mark

That's good looking, plain, simple, uncluttered. A haven of sense in this day and age of bullshit audio marketing.

Unfortuneatly it doesn't work for me. The format is too wide. This is an issue with chromium and firefox.

Why 1042 pixels wide? Just for good resolution on stupid tablets with sooper knobbo resolutions. No bloody good for a simple desk top screen. looking at the code it's even wider than that.....

Did I say I'm not that impressed by super high resolutions that don't scale properly for us people without these tablets?

What?

Why does the site look bad for me then?

<img style="border-width: 0px; left: 0px; top: 0px; width: 1042px; height: 782px; z-index: 0; position: absolute; display: none;" src="images/Home1%20%288%29.jpg" alt="" title="">

Doesn't code like this force my browser to display the image at 1042 pixels?

Oh and Ben, please put some words in the "alt" bit for the visually impaired.

Is the result of putting massive images into a website builder, I think....

The front page is big and the rest neatly follows.

My web browsers are trying to fit the image on my desktop, but fail to do the scaling.

Mud, that's exactly how it shows for me too, off centre and out of view, you aren't unique, same on my iphone same on my Nexus.

The page needs dynamic scaling, no doubt designed on some huge 27" imac screen by someone with limited html. If they fix this issue though it'll be perfect.

I agree, the overall design is nice just spoiled for me at present. The temptation to put those lovely pictures on the site has obviously been overwhelming.

Thankyou very much for the input guys. It's very much appreciated.

I think I will have to do a revised version of the site at 1280 x 1024. My photography of the boards I've made takes a long time to edit, clean up etc. After investing a massive amount of time in the design of the modules, the desire to have this work seen at larger resolutions may well have gotten the better of me. :D

I'll start making a lower resolution site, I do indeed have a 27" screen, but it's not a fancy iMac. This is the first website I have ever done, for a first effort, I am very pleased with it.

kind regards

Ben

Put it this way ... the pictures are that good I have them as a back ground pic on my lappy lol cheers guy`s great job

No more accessoires at Avondale? I really liked those red power cables. Speaker cables were fine, too.
Hope they will be available again!

I spoke to Les on the telephone a few weeks ago and I got the impression that it would all be available when the new site appeared, but there's a lot of the old range that isn't on there at the moment.
