I'm hoping to shave a few degrees off my learning curve here, I look forward to your opinions and experience. And epic thread drifts.
I'm playing with an SOtM SMS-200, a kind of glorified Chromecast audio crossed with a dedicated RPi. I want to get a handle on how to use it properly as I think it has promise.
My system is an older Qnap NAS 》 (switch, BT router) 》 Ethernet to SMS-200 》 Young DAC (USB), all controlled by Samsung S6.
I have got Bubbleupnp going on my phone and it's doing it's thing with network music files and internet radio streams. I'm not enjoying the user interface that much and I can't find any options to adjust output to my DAC.
I suspect Roon may eventually be my final destination (I'm holding on to an introductory offer), but are there any other DLNA type apps for my S6 phone? I think I remember good words about an Onkyo player some time back.
