Hi,

I was wondering if people could recommend which ones were worth while? Are they bigger than the ones in the smaller town but the prices higher?

Anyone been to the soundbite on in Chiswick?

I go fairly regularly to the VIP ones at Olympia. I don't think I've ever spent less than £30 in there so take that as a recommendation. Some are better than others eg sometimes good piles of tasty cds @ a quid and sometimes good Lp picks at £1 or 2. My collection is a playing one rather than rarities one (matrix nos for first pressings & all that), but there are plenty of that type of specialist dealer in there. They vary quite a lot in size too. Next one is 25/04/09 - £4 entry.
Have also been to one in Wimbledon in a church hall. Free entry & somewhat more pricey stock especially cds. i wouldn't be in a rush to return - has the feel of the same dealers being regulars.

Never been to one and there are many around London. I have 2 near me in Orpington and Croydon always scared I'll spend to much I supposed. Kid in a sweet shop would be kind of apt here.

Tell me more about the soundbite in Chiswick - my Mum lives there, so I often visit, but have never heard of it - where and when ?

I went to the Soundbite one, free entry which was good. Its just off Chiswick High Street. I got some good copies of Bob Marley Live and Uprising, Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen and Willie and The Poor Boys for a Fiver. One guy had loads of reasonable ones for 50p which were only VG but will clean up OK. Got loads from him including Fleetwood Mac, Peter Gabriel, Dylan etc

Worth a look if your in the area. All the ones I really wanted like your Zep, Beatles etc were £20+
