just picked up a couple of his albums from charity shop

Rebel & stranger in the city recordings are excellent much better than some of the new stuff on offer these days.
 
Yes...surprisingly good for a chart type person. I saw him in concert in the seventies and was equally impressed by his live performances. My abiding memory is that live, he reminded me of King Crimson.
 
This thread prompted me to dig out Rebel, and I finally gave it an airing this evening. Very APP, aha, produced by none other than Mr Parsons. Mind you, I enjoyed listening to this. Time to dig out some APP...
 
I happened to find a 45 of Slow Down/Manhattan Skyline last night, still in good order. Don't recall having Slow down, though.
