iPad to DAC connection

Hi, some searching on the net suggests that the output of an iPad can be connected directly to a DAC with good result by picking up a signal from the digital positive and negative leads in a USB connector.
However I a struggling to find which should go where on a digital coaxial connector. Instinct says positive to the centre and negative to the screen but does anybody know if that is right?
Cheers Andy.

Hi
An easier option is find a Bluetooth receiver with APTX (lossless) codec and optical out, which you can connect directly to your DAC.
Cheers, Yair

Buy an Ipad Camera Kit (the right type to suit you lightning or 30-pin connector) and that will give you a USB connection that you can patch to your DAC.

Thanks gents. My CD player is coax only input.
I have the camera kit but am still left with the question which digital USB output goes where. I have asked Densen and they dont appear to understand the question.
Regards Andy.

I can't find a piece of wire and plugs to do this.
Plenty of devices like a hiface or some such.
Is it just bad searching?
Cheers Andy.
