Help needed trying to identify British female jazz singer

A couple of years ago I was very impressed with a female jazz singer I saw on the TV. She was white,middle aged, dark hair and played the piano as well as singing, her husband also played bass in her band. She had won an award of some kind for best jazz singer and I think she could have been Welsh.
Ring any bells?
 
Muzzer, cant think of many vocalists with a husband who is a jazz bassist.

But I can think of one. not sure if she ticks all the boxes.

Trudy Kerr. Wife of Geoff Gascoyne. however, Im not sure if she plays piano, and she is Australian. I think she one some awards though.

Long shot, but does that name ring any bells.

If not, any more clues?
