Help finding alternative PSU for Pro-Ject Stream Box DSA

ND-031: 24V / 5A DC Power Supply

You could easily build one yourself but have you tried RS or even eBay for one? A laptop supply would probably match if the connector was the right size.

What sort of plug does it use, standard size DC and what is the polarity?
 
I'm lost when it comes to quality of a psu. They all look the same to me so naturally, I think they should all cost the same but bow to your greater knowledge of these things.
 
It probably would be although you'd need to be sure the DC connector was the same size.

Not much of a saving over the real thing though.....
 
Did see those, would only buy from RS (such as the the one linked to) and not ebay.
Had a cheap one fail on me after 6months due to cheap caps.
 
There are loads of fake Mean Well (a reputable brand) on the auction sites.
They will usually be unreliable and electrically noisy
 
The majority of the ebay smps s are sh-te and even the ce marked ones inject hash in to the mains before they expire prematurely .
