Either that or another device on your mains is causing the problem and getting worse - try switching off (temporarily) fridges, freezers and suchlike. Best to fix the problem at source if possible.
Don't know if this product uses an MOV(metal oxide resistor), but if it does, they finally give up the ghost after taking a certain number of spikes, large or small. If that's true in this case, a tech would have little trouble replacing the device.
