I know people have had this issue before but can't find the thread. Turntable is a Versalax with a tlc cartridge, p75, linn akurate pre. Must be an earth problem .
I had the mk II version many years back, and suffered from hum problems until I played around with positioning of the P75 and the cables connected to it.
Your issue may be different but it might be worth moving cables around to see if the problem lessens or gets worse.
Mine hissed and hummed like a demented beehive when using the supplied power supply. Changed to a different one - nothing fancy, just the one for a USB backup drive that happened to be same voltage - and it's been silent ever since.
I've just got my Mk III back from the menders following a similar problem with a loud buzzing. They found that the power supply had a fault. Pear Audio supplied anew one an it's now working fine again.
