Cheap silver solder on the bay

in case anyone needs some, this guy is selling 500g rolls of 3.8% silver solder 1mm and 0.7mm for £4

looking up the part no on RS it comes up as discontinued and previously £21, so a veritable bargain (if you're a geek like me)

Yes, but its lead free and that can be a bugger to solder.....

I've used the RS version of lead free silver solder and don't find it too bad.
Prefer full fat though...

The secret to soldering this stuff is, Hot and fast.... 360 - 380 degrees , but dont hang around , make sure you clean the bit everytime on the "sponge" ...easy
