CBRE urban photographer of the year 2014 winners

Seem to be a fair few over processed digital->B&W shots. Shame not many real photos with real cameras.

Agreed, not very inspiring. Perhaps the real photographers read the rules:

"... Further, by submitting an Photo, entrant grants Sponsor and its agents an unlimited, worldwide, perpetual, license and right to post, publish, edit, modify and otherwise make use of, entrant’s first name, last initial, address (city and state), likeness, photograph, picture, portrait, biographical information, Photo description and Photo in publication and/or on the internet for, advertising and promotional without notice, payment or consideration to the entrant, except where prohibited by law and warrants and represents that he/she has properly secured, and has all right to grant such permission. "

I've seen many photo competitions with those rules, and the prizes often make entering not worthwhile. Even photography mag competitions might only offer a £30 memory card to the winner!

The Herod clause http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...ith-a-firstborn-because-no-one-reads-anymore/ strikes again :D
