I enjoyed looking at Grant Schnapps’ bookshelves in order to absorb the messages implied from the books that had been carefully angled towards the camera. Aha! Churchillian! Patriot! Altruist! But I was disappointed that the flag wasn’t proudly unfurled, or even better draped round his shoulders. I now suspect he may be some kind of fifth columnist, and the books are just to throw us off the scent.

Its a thing for gauging internal dimensions the two long rods are locked with a wedge operated by the shorter rod.
Its a sort of go/no go gauge.
