Arcam D33 DAC - £999

Never bought or heard any Arcam products but this DAC is available with a good discount (maybe it's not very popular).

I believe it's quite good but there are LOTS of very, very good DACs for well under £2200 and most of them are quite a bit more compact too.

In the last 20 years or so, Arcam's more modestly priced gear has proved very popular but their top level kit doesn't seem to sell quite so well, not so sure why this is given that people will readily spend the same or even a good deal more on linn, naim and the like. It could be to do with used values.
