Alfred Deller anyone ?

Hi all,

I guess it's time for a triple or even a box set. I presume you can't get wrong with whatever was ever recorded by this artist (in the truest sense of the word).

Maybe some of you have a recommendation ? I have a preference for English folk songs.

He is a fine Oberon in Britten`s own recording of A Midsummer Night`s Dream.

+1 for Brittens recording of Midsummer night's dream.

Also - Alfred Deller featured on a recording I once had of Purcell's "Come Ye Sons of Art" - a terrific introduction to Early Music.

It's a fairy late recording and his voice was perhaps past its prime, but it is a worthy specimen of Deller's art.
