The LP12 market has gone entirely insane IMHO.
I remember the days of mine, possibly 10 years ago now.
LP12/Valhalla with Ittock £600 used, LP12/Valhalla with basik+ £400 used. Cirkus - no value added, Lingo +£400, Pre Valhalla Linn without arm £200 ish.
At those prices they were actually quite sensibly priced.
Now - ridiculous money for second rate crap.
Buy a close to state of the art DAC for under £1000, buy a laptop which can feed the dac (probably already got one)
SQ will eat this sort of rubbish for breakfast!!!!!
TT market can still compete, but not "that" LP12. All you need to do is throw away absolutely everything on it and get the current spec, and after you've done that you'll only have spent 10x the cost of a really good DAC.
