Yes there is 'science' around cables of course there is, but how can replacing the last 1m of cable compared to the bloody miles of it you can't replace that is in the circuit before that 1m make a significant difference? As long as the cable is of the correct specification and the connections...

Because it's complete and utter bollocks and some less scientific people might be sucked in by said bollocks and spend hundreds of pounds on a 2m length of cable that cannot make any difference whatsoever. In my opinion (and that of science).

You're right about the overall size, but the layout is terrible and makes very poor use of the space (or lack of it)... this is where UK builds are so poor... total lack of thought and innovation... yes changing it to something better might cost a little bit more, but so worth it.

Yes, I get and see what you're saying... I've been busy snapping up all sorts in the last 5 years such that I've just had to pare down my collection from around 15K to 9K.

If, as it seems, Newey has left the team because of Horner then from a purely business perspective they should have got rid of Horner. Newey is almost impossible to replace, Horner (as good as he is and he obviously is good at his job) is less so.

I really don't know which of rips or CDs sound better or for that matter how streaming compares, but frankly I don't really care. I get the arguments for ripping and streaming, but personally I like the tangibility/collectibility of vinyl and CD and they both sound good enough to me.
