    WTB E80CC & 12BH7 Valves

@The Bish Sorry, been a plonker and wrote the wrong 12 series valve number down(reading too much info and tired) it's the 12BH7's I'm after. I've changed title and text accordingly.

    WTB E80CC & 12BH7 Valves

Hi there, I'm looking for matched pairs/close matched pairs of NOS or strong old production E80CC and 12BH7 valves. These are the last variants of valve that I want to try in my Musical Paradise DAC. I'm back in the UK in 10 days time from Australia to visit family, it would be great to take...

lite audio lt-one cd transport......yea or nay?

No one ever tried this transport... Hmm, Maybe I'll give it a miss then.

lite audio lt-one cd transport......yea or nay?

Does anyone have experience with the above transport? I've been using a modified Cambridge Audio CD4 as a Transport for a number of years now, would the above be a significant improvement over that? I recently purchased a Musical Paradise valve DAC to replace my now failing Audiolab Mdac and...

    Thorens TD16x Tonearm Upgrade.

This looks interesting for the price. I remember talking with Arthur years ago when I had an issue with my Pink Triangle gear, seemed really decent bloke. Has anyone tried the Thorens/Funk Firm combination?

    Thorens TD16x Tonearm Upgrade.

Many thanks everyone, I think you've convinced me not to pursue this one. Although, maybe I will see if I can find a TP16 like the one in the image provided by Chartz. So, does anyone know where an unmolested example might be going for a reasonable price?

    Thorens TD16x Tonearm Upgrade.

Any recommendations for the above? A little research suggests maybe a Mission 774 or Jelco 740, if they can be found and made to fit. The only upgrades I have made to the table have been to change the hardboard plinth base for a thicker ply base with oak cone feet and a blue belt courtesy of...

    AT VM cartridges.

Thank you all for the replies. I'm going to put a few hours on the VM95e with a broader selection of music( mainly been listening to vocal/acoustic) and we'll go from there. The good thing about cartridges is, their small. SWMBO will never know. Cheers Steven.

    AT VM cartridges.

Thank you all for your replies. There's some interesting reading here for sure, that'll keep me occupied for a while. I was curious about the various AT's and what they have to offer, based on my recent and limited experience. Not too long ago I bought a Thorens TD166 MKII from these...

    CD Transport....any good?

I've had a bit of a curve ball thrown my way. I put an ad locally to find out the availability of the VRDS and CDM PRO. Nothing on the PRO, a couple of maybes' on the VRDS. Then I get a message with this being available, Audio-gd CD7SE. I had never heard of it until now. There is some info out...

Where is the sweet spot with these cartridges, price to performance across the range?

    CD Transport....any good?

Thanks Simon. I've found the Kodak even before finding the Audiolab. I'll continue to keep an eye out. What's the difference between the CDM 9PRO and CDM 9? The latter seems to be the one in the Kodak.
