    Tannoy cabinets, where from?

Oddly enough my speakers are going in alcoves either side of the fireplace. I am going to build permanent brick "cabinets" and mount the units in there. Hope I like 'em, It'll be a bit of a faff to move them afterwards!! Wife hates big speakers, in fact any speakers so this should keep the...

    Tannoy cabinets, where from?

Matt, out of interest what cabinets are you going for and what are they in now?

    Tannoy crossover service/modding

I only perused the Tannoy websites but that is the impression I got. Removing them from the cabinets however is most definatly worth trying. My speakers are/were Devons, 12" HPD in a rather flimsy particle board cab, I have also replaced the cabinet. This summer when we re-do the sitting room I...

    Tannoy crossover service/modding

DC crossovers? General opinion when I looked into it was there is not much point. Good quality compoents, no electrolytics to dry out and the level controls are designed in such a way as not to degrade the sound (within reason presumably) Lockwood suggested getting rid of the plugs on the...

    Long shot...Tamron lens caps WTD.

Sorry for posting this in the photo section but thought it more relevent here. Got hold of a matching 2x converter to go with my Tamron 90mm macro but never gave a thought to lens caps (it didnt come with any). To use the converter you remove the adaptall mount from the lens, fit it to the...

    Tannoy Lancaster's with 15" HPD

IIRC the (Tannoy) recomended enclosure size for 15" HPD's is 300 ltrs. That is pretty big by anyones standards. My own 12" HPD's recomendation is a piffling 150 ltrs. Mere stand mounts in Tannoy world. Paul.

Awwww, all these 15 inchers are making me feel a bit inadequate, I've only got 12.

    Olympus OM sytem

Well, got my first film developed and must admit I'm chuffed to bits with the results. Only used the standard lens up to yet as I have only just received the adaptall mount for the Tamron 90mm. Wife quite likes it aswell, its just so small compared to her E520, I just popped it in my jacket...

    PictBridge printer advice please.

So Wife has her nice new Olympus E520 but as she much prefers looking at actual photos rather than viewing on the computer some sort of printer is required. We hit a problem pretty soon as out laptop, an elderly Compaq Armada, is woefully short on memory and processor speed. Also as it was...

    Olympus OM sytem

Bought a film for it on Saturday and as Sunday was such a lovely day I finished work early and took dog and camera into the local woods. Managed to use most of the film up so I headed of home via the local church, more snapping and the film was finished. Once home I pressed the rewind button...
