Are you suggesting that the foam/ferraloid lasts around 30 years. I'm thinking of splashing out on a second hand pair of Harbeth P3ESR's ( at some £1500? circa 2012? ), I'm wondering how much life I should expect!

As I read posts about great speakers that are 20-30 years old I wonder what is likely to need servicing/replacing after this time? In most cases I assume the manufacturer would not supply original parts?

Ill look into Dalis, I know very little about them. Gus I'm really looking for the original R3's I heard them once after I have just bought a full system and I always craved them! I've seen Ela's advertised many times but know very little about what they can offer

Hello, Just offloaded my 72/140/HICAP & Leema Xeros to avoid a potential kid disaster! Could anyone recommend some sub £300 floorstanders to pair well? I've been looking for a pair of Cherry Rega R3's for a very long time bu these don't seem to ever appear on the horizon! Leo

Hello! I'm having to sell my 72/HICAP/!40 ( kids have come along, those knobs won't last ). I have 1 black 5 pin SNAIC and 1 Black 4 pin and a grey 4 pin. Question what cable do I sell with each unit? Does the 5 pin go with the HICAP? Thanks Leo
